General
Examination Registration
  • You must complete the “Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore) 2020” preparatory course with any of the PDPC’s appointed training providers and have obtained the Course Completion Certificate for this course. You must then take the examination within 6 months of completing this preparatory course.
  • To be eligible for the examination registration, your course completion end date shown in your Certificate must be within 6 months from the exam date you have selected. Registration for the examination after the 6 months period will be considered on a case-by case-basis. You may submit a request with valid reasons to NTUC LearningHub at [email protected] for their assessment.
  • Candidates will receive the balance fees of $41.26 (after the deduction of $13.24 application processing fees) within 30 calendar days from the date of examination application is rejected.
Absent, Late-coming and Withdrawal
  • Candidates with valid reasons for their absenteeism may submit a re-scheduling request together with the relevant supporting documents to NTUC LearningHub within 7 calendar days from the examination date. All re-scheduling applications are subjected to the approval of NTUC LearningHub.
  • If you are late by more than 15 minutes after the scheduled examination time, you will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

    Candidates with valid reasons for being late for the examination may submit a re-scheduling request together with the relevant supporting documents to NTUC LearningHub within 7 calendar days from the examination date. All re-scheduling applications are subjected to the approval of NTUC LearningHub.

    Candidates without valid reasons for being late will need to re-register for the examination and pay the full examination fees.
  • You are not allowed to cancel or withdraw from the examination once payment has been made.
  • Examination fees that are already paid cannot be transferred from one candidate to another.
  • An administrative charge of $13.24 (inclusive of GST) is imposed for each successful re-scheduling request submitted by the candidate.

  • Examinations may be re-scheduled under reasonable circumstances, such as:
    • GP medical leave / Hospitalization leave covering the examination date
    • Compassionate reason / Bereavement covering the examination date
    • Reservist training covering the examination date
Examination Registration
  • You must bring along a valid, non-expired identification document such as NRIC, work permit and passport (the same one that you used during registration) with your full name, identification numbers, date of birth and photograph for verification purposes. Please note that digital IDs, membership or credit cards with photographs will not be accepted.
  • You will not be allowed to sit for the examination if,
    • the acceptable form of identification is not presented,
    • the name, date of birth and last four characters of your identification numbers do not match the details provided at the point of registration
    • you do not abide by the examination rules and regulations.
  • You are not allowed to bring any food or drinks into the examination room.
  • You may seek permission from the Test Centre Administrator to take a short break. However, please note that the timer cannot be paused and no extra time will be given throughout the duration of the break.
  • All personal belongings are not allowed in the examination room. You must empty your pockets and place all your personal belongings (including bag, wallet and mobile devices) into the designated locker before entering the examination room. You may approach the Test Centre Administrator for writing materials, if required.
  • You are not allowed to bring your mobile devices into the examination room. All mobile devices must be switched off before entering the examination room. No vibration or airplane mode is allowed. Any candidate found to be in possession of their communication device or fails to switch off their communication device during the examination will be immediately disqualified from the examination and reported to PDPC.
  • If you are caught cheating or possess an unauthorized item during the examination, you will be barred from taking this examination for a period of 1 year (from the date of the incident).
Certificate and Validity
  • If you do not receive the e-certificate after passing the examination, you may request for the e-certification to be re-sent at no cost. Please contact NTUC LearningHub Customer Service Officers at 6336-3598 / 6837-8297 or email [email protected] for assistance within 7 calendar days from the scheduled examination date. Please note that hardcopy certificates will not be provided.

  • There is no expiry for the Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore) 2020.
Re-examination
  • There is no cap/limit to the number of attempts that each candidate may undertake to meet the passing criteria. Please note that full examination fee applies for each attempt.
